Fill your home with the beauty of this exquisitely detailed & stunningly beautiful hand-made bird miniature from the western state of Rajasthan, India.

This image was painted by famous Jaipur wild life miniature artist, Mr. Narendra Katara.

The precise manner in which the splendidly patterned bird is depicted parallels a tradition of descriptive painting that had been practiced at many royal courts in India since the sixteenth century.

Count Raggi bird-of-paradise is a large bird found in in southern and northeastern New Guinea. It is the national bird of Papua New Guinea. The male has a yellow crown, dark emerald-green throat and yellow collar between the throat and its blackish upper breast feathers. It is adorned with a pair of long black tail wires and beautiful large orange flank plumes. Even though the plumes of this species are heavily cropped by natives for ceremonial headdresses, the practice is not a threat to their long-term survival.
