The Marwari is a rare breed of horse from the Marwar (or Jodhpur) region of India. Known for its inward-turning ear tips, it comes in all equine colours, although pinto patterns tend to be the most popular with buyers and breeders. It is known for its hardiness, and is quite similar to the Kathiawari, another Indian breed from the Kathiawar region southwest of Marwar. Many breed members exhibit a natural ambling gait. The Marwari are descended from native Indian ponies crossed with Arabian horses, possibly with some Mongolian influence.

Equestrian art has flourished in India over the centuries. Horses have been a part of Indian (and Pakistani and Afghan) culture for over 3500 years since they first arrived in the Indian subcontinent. It's only natural that artwork featuring Indian horses soon followed the horse's arrival!

Today equestrian art is still a popular artwork genre in India. Many modern Indian artists make contemporary equestrian paintings, and a number of traditional and folk artists across India still make them the old-fashioned way. Now you have a chance to add such a painting to your nature wild life art collection. Hurry and acquire it now.
