Presenting a dazzling Indian Mughal miniature portrait art depicting the prince Dara Shikoh and his wife Nadura Banu Begum.

Prince Dara Shikoh (1615–59) was the eldest son and heir of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. His wife was Nadira Banu Begum (1618–59), whom he married in 1633. In the war of succession which ensued after Shah Jahan's illness in 1657, Dara was defeated by his younger brother Prince Muhiuddin (later, the Emperor Aurangzeb). He was executed in 1659 on Aurangzeb's orders in a bitter struggle for the imperial throne.

The prince and princess are shown standing against borders on the floor and the regal floral work on the walls. They are richly dressed in fine vivid colored garments and are adorned in necklaces composed of enormous pearls, jeweled bracelets and earrings. You will be amazed and delighted by the levels of detail and intricacy featured.

This unparalleled classical Mughal art is ready to be displayed or added to your collection or served as a wonderful gift. Buy it today before it is gone.

NOTE: You will get two separate pieces of art with this purchase. The size of the Portrait art in center is 6 in. X 9 in. (15 cms X 23 cms).
