Brighten your day with this charming handmade painting by artists in India, featuring Father San Antonio holding baby Christ in traditional dress.

Art of Peru is famous for The Cuzco School which was a Roman Catholic artistic tradition based in Cusco, Peru (the former capital of the Inca Empire) during the Colonial period, in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. The tradition and European influence in these paintings originated after the 1534 Spanish conquest of the Inca Empire.

Drawing from the techniques of the past, modern Cuzco paintings executed by local artists are characterized by their use of exclusively religious subjects and the predominance of red, yellow and earth colors. They are also remarkable for their use of gold leaf. They often adapt the topics to depict their native flora and fauna as a backdrop in their works.

San Antonio de Valero, one of five Spanish missions established by Franciscans in what is now San Antonio (Texas), is most commonly known as the site of the battle of the Alamo (1836). The mission was started by Father Antonio de San Buenaventura y Olivareswho first visited the region in 1709.
