This wonderful art invokes, in a visual image, the blessed presence of all ten Sikh Gurus together, and allows the viewer to pay homage to them – as much as part of a prayer.

The group is arranged in form of a flattened circle, with Guru Nanak at top-center seated under a tree with an expanded crown. In the arc at left the artist, places counter-clockwise, Gura Angad, Gura Amar Das, Guru Ram Das, Guru Arjan Dev, and Guru Har Gobind. In the arc at right, after leaving the attendant figure (Bhai Bala) seated with a peacock-feather fly-whisk in his hand, are arranged the figures, clockwise, of Guru Har Rai, Guru Har Kishan, Guru Tegh Bahadur, and, finally, Guru Gobind Singh. At the bottom of the circle are two musicians playing the rabab and tabla.

The meticulousness in this modern artwork is captured with an antique finish. It is exquisitely hand-painted and captured in opaque watercolors on hand treated paper.

The painted scene is lively and impressive and is reminiscent of the meaningful ways in which the painters of that time brought such details into their work.

The original art was done in late 19th century by Bhai Puran Singh. It currently resides in the Government Museum and Art Gallery, Chandigarh, India.
